OBSOLON Ltd. is founded by seasoned engineers and physicists with 15 years of experience in the field of glass enclosure design.
You read that right – physicists. We believe the relation between engineering and physics has to be maintained and nurtured. This relation is instrumental to the design of unique structures, tailored to clients’ and architects’ demands and vision. Key properties like structural integrity, thermal insulation, thermal expansion, light and energy transmission, corrosion hazards, acoustics and fire protection can only be thoroughly investigated by a combined expertise in physics and engineering.
Many custom structures also require novel fabrication and installation approaches, resulting in greater risks for schedules and fixed budgets. Consequently, our team has spent a substantial amount of time in workshops and on construction sites. On some projects, we had to station our drafting team in the manufacturer’s workshop to make sure everything is going as optimized and smooth as possible. We have been involved in the installation process as well, helping with on-site measurements and control. In some cases we even installed those structures ourselves, which allowed us to truly determine the quality of our installation plans.
We don’t shy from gaining knowledge through helping and observing processes outside of our immediate expertise. We love learning. Our way of doing things has enabled us to accomplish multiple projects in Germany, Bulgaria, the United States, France, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Japan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates
